USDA Shows ND Canola Crop at Record Value

Posted: Mar 14 2022

The USDA released its Annual Crop Values Summary on February 24.  It showed that the 2021 canola crop in North Dakota was valued at $751 million, up from $500 million last year.  This is the highest value on record and comes when the average yield for canola was severely depressed due to the drought.  For the U.S., canola was valued at $864 million.  For 2022, the crop is expected to top $1 billion.
